Travelling to/from the University of Copenhagen

By Plane

Those arriving via international flights will arrive at Copenhagen (CPH) airport. The airport is on the south side of the city and is directly linked to the city centre by rail. See HERE for information on the airport rail and metro links. Copenhagen Central Station is 3.5km south of the conference venue. Metro line M3 connects the city centre to the north campus of the University at the Vibenshus Runddel St. stop. See HERE for the metro map.

Metro runs 24/7 in Copenhagen.

By Train and Metro

As mentioned above, the conference venue is 3.5km from Copenhagen Central Station, making travel to the venue by train the obvious option for those attending locally. There is a circular metro line, M3, that connects the city centre to the north campus of the University at the Vibenshus Runddel St. stop. See HERE for the metro map.

Social Programme

Excursion

As tradition in the Models of Consciousness conference, we will have our excursion before the conference, on Sunday, October 11.

We are planning an informal social event at the Carlsberg Museum to kick off discussions and break the ice.

This is not included in the conference fee and is paid on the day.

Stay tuned for details!

Art and Science

For the first time, the conference programme includes an art and science activity on Wednesday, 14 October, during the conference.

We invite participants to an amazing immersive experience at the renowned Louisiana Museum to reflect on subjective aspects and creative forms of exploration.

This is an integral component of this year’s conference programme.

The museum is a 40-60 minute drive from Copenhagen. The conference will provide buses to the Museum and back to Copenhagen.

In the museum, groups of 25 people each, accompanied by a tour guide, will experience a tour that fosters dialogue and creative experimentation throughout the exhibition, featuring the collection both indoors and outdoors. After the activity, participants will also have free time to explore the museum at their own pace, and we will reconvene for a keynote lecture.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain new insights and discover facets of yourself and each other, thereby motivating innovative research on consciousness and subjective experience.

There is no additional charge for the excursion, as it is included in the conference registration fee.

Drinks Reception

The conference also includes a drinks reception, which is also included in the conference registration fee.

Conference Dinner

Participants are invited to join the conference dinner. Venue TBA.

Attendance requires selecting the conference dinner option during online registration. Please see the registration page.

The conference dinner is not included in the conference registration fee.

Socializing

Outside of conference activities, the beautiful, historic city of Copenhagen offers a host of cultural and social activities.

Stay tuned for more!
